Hydnocarpus pentandra seed oil based biopesticide for the control of teak defoliator Hyblea purea, casuarina bark eating caterpillar Inderbela quadrinotata and ailanthus defoliator Eligma narsisuss. The requirement of Hy-Act formulation per hectare of plantation will be 500 ml/0.5 lit. 100 ml of Hy-Act can be mixed with 10 li of water to spray over 1.5 to 2.0 lakhs seedlings in the nursery. 500 ml of Hy-Act may be needed for 1 ha of young 1-2 yrs old plantations. The cost of Hy-Act is Rs.300/- for 250 ml bottle.
