Yes, the medicinal plants are cultivated predominantly in farm forestry models. There are many case studies where species like ginger, turmeric, rosemary etc. are grown in agroforestry/farm forestry.  However it important to be aware of the existing market channel before planning for medicinal plantations. It is advisable to cultivate medicinal plants only when there is a buyer with a buy back agreement for the produce.
